Howard Lee Douglas, age 76, of Cameron, NC, died Monday, November 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Harnett County, NC to the late Charlie Laurin Douglas and Ruth Howard Douglas.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Douglas and his brother, John Douglas. 

Howard is survived by his daughter, Susan Putnam and her husband, Victor of Cameron; a sister, Marie Ayers of Sanford; one grandson, James Lee Putnam and his fiancé, Katie King.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church at 4:00 PM with Rev. John Roberson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to express their deepest, most sincere thanks to First Health Hospice, Dr. Antil, Dr. Simpson, Dr. Vieta, Dr. Atkinson, Dr. Gibbons and Dr. Boyce.  Also, many thanks to their nurses and secretarial staff.
