Hazel Marie Wallace Cummings, age 86, of Sanford, N.C., died Friday, July 21, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Cummings was born on Sept. 15, 1930, in Montgomery County, N.C. to the late Wade Wallace and Dora Hall Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Cummings; a daughter, Jackie Underwood, and by several brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Cummings was the former owner and operator of Richmahrs Truck Stop and Restaurant.

She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Donathan of Sanford; a sister, Inez Rosser of Sanford; four grandchildren, Tom Donathan and wife Angela, Rhonda Donathan and husband Gabriel, Susanne Underwood, and Crystal Snipes and husband, Jeff; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held July 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at White Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Sherry Baird and Mr. Travis Corley.
