Emma Margaret McNeill Thomas, 81, of Broadway, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Harnett County, on April 14, 1935, to the late Samuel Percy McNeill, Sr. and Flossie Thomas McNeill.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ted Lewis Thomas, a son Michael Lewis Thomas, a sister Almeria Harrington and a brother Samuel Percy Mc Neill, Jr.   She was homemaker.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Connie Thomas McNeill (Donald) of Durham; a daughter-in-law, Gail Roberts Thomas; one grandchild Travis Michael Thomas; and two special caretakers, Gail Knuckles and Ruth Boseman.

A graveside service will be held at Leaflet Pres. Church Cemetery on Sat., May 28, 2016, 3PM with Pastor David Priddy officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church from 2 to 3PM.
