Dorothy Marie Taylor Reece, age 82, of Sanford, NC, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.

She was born in Sparta, Tennessee on March 21, 1935, to the late John Taylor and Tillie Mae James Taylor.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Reece, Jr.; a son, Dennis Reece; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Reece and by several brothers and sisters. Dorothy worked for many years at Koury Company.

She is survived by her son, Arthur Steven Reece, III of Lula, Georgia; a daughter, LaDonna Honeycutt and husband, Rufus of Sanford; one brother, Gene Taylor and wife, Rose Lee of Tennessee; sister, Hollie Weed of Beverly, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at San Lee Chapel.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Shane Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in Olivia Presbyterian Cemetery.  Her son, Denny will be laid to rest with her per her wishes.
