Donna Lynne Herring, age 55, of Anitoch, TN, formally of Sanford died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Miss Herring was born in Lee County, on April 21, 1961, to Janice Mason and the late Luther William Herring.  She served her country in the US Army.  Donna was preceded in death by her father, Luther William Herring.

Surviving relatives include her mother, Janice Ann Mason Herring of Sanford; a brother, Tim Herring and wife Stephanie of Carthage; a sister Julie Sharpe of Sanford; nieces, Jessica Crowder, Taylor Herring and Hannah Herring; nephews, Justin Sharpe and Jordan Herring and her beloved dog, Precious.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, 3PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Bishop David Kimbrell presiding. The family will receive friends 2-3PM one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
