Dewitt Thomas Marks (Bubba), age 74, of Cameron, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Harnett County on July 10, 1943 to the late Norman Marks and Ida West Marks.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Marks; three sisters, Nancy Simpson, Mildred Douglas and Glenda Tucker and one brother, Harold Marks.  Bubba was a long-distance truck driver for many years.

He is survived by one son, Danny Marks and his wife, Angel of Cameron; one daughter, Edna George and her husband, Mitch of Cameron; one brother, Clarence Marks and his wife, Doris of Cameron: two sisters, Bonnie Lyczkowski and husband, John of Cameron and Louine Becker and husband Allan of Fayetteville; two brothers-in-law, Howard Douglas of Pineview and John Tucker of Seven Lakes; a special sister-in-law, Josephine Marks of Cameron; four grandchildren, Randy and his fiancée, Autumn Davis, Jessica, Cameron and Reilly Marks and two great children, Brooklyn and Bryce Marks.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the sanctuary of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.  The funeral service will follow at the church the next day, Friday, August 11, 2017 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Raymond Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
