Curtis Eckerson Stewart

Curtis Eckerson Stewart, age 82, of Cameron, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Moore County, NC on December 21, 1936 to the late Lonnie Alvin Stewart and Myrtle Yow Stewart.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Christopher Curtis Stewart.    Curtis worked as a golf course mechanic and greens keeper.

He is survived by wife Violet Brooks Stewart; daughter Annette Stewart Gibson and husband Robbie of Sanford; grandsons Joshua Gibson and wife Lindsay, Caleb Gibson and wife Kylie; and great-grandchildren Brynn and Logan Gibson.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and other times at the family home.  The funeral service will be Sunday, December 8th at 3:00 PM at Cypress Springs Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
