Cody Lee Wilder, age 21, of Sanford, NC, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Orange County on May 4, 1995.  He is survived by his mother Christy Wilder Thomas and step-father Allen Scott Thomas of Sanford.  In addition to his parents Cody is survived by his wife Brianna Sasser Wilder of the home; daughters Taylor Elizabeth Wilder of Mamers, Leanna Caroline Wilder of Sanford; brother Braxton Taft Cummings of Lillington; grandparents Danny and Debbie Wilder of Sanford, Kenneth and Gladys Cummings of Lillington; step-grandparents Billy and Brenda Thomas of Sanford; great-grandmother Sue Nunnery of Sanford; step-sister Kimberly Gail Thomas and finance Matthew Holland of Wilmington.

Cody was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and was a graduate of Central Carolina Community College.  Cody was a hard worker, working for Coty and GKN.  He loved his family first then hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. 

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cool Springs Baptist Church and at other times at his grandparent’s home, Danny and Debbie Wilder, 2613 Wellington Drive, Sanford, NC.  The funeral service will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
