Bradley Rufus Carroll, age 56, of Rocky Mount, VA, formerly of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Brad was born in Sanford, NC on December 12, 1960 to Delores Caviness Jacobs and Malcolm R. Carroll.  He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Carroll and step-father Wayne Jacobs and grandparents Earl & Pauline Caviness and Clyde & Ruth Carroll.

He is survived by his mother Delores Jacobs of Goldston, NC; children Toni Carroll (James) of Rocky Mount, VA, Brandon Carroll (Jasmine) of Southern Pines, NC and Bradley Carroll of Rocky Mount, VA; sister Robin Smyth of Lillington, NC; brother Chris Carroll (Jean) of Gulf, NC, Scott Carroll and wife Eratta of Lake Charles, LA; one grandson Jaylen Napier of Rocky Mount, VA; two nieces, five nephews and special friends David and Donna Dotson of Rocky Mount, VA and his special aunt Juanita Phillips of Sanford, NC.  Brad will be missed and loved forever.

A memorial service will be held in Rocky Mount, VA on Friday.  A graveside service will be held in Sanford, NC on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Center United Methodist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
