Bobby Stancil Grissom, age 87, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at UNC Hospital.

He was born in Montgomery County, NC on July 18, 1930 to the late David D. Grissom and Bessie Baldwin Grissom.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Cole Grissom and a daughter, Rebecca Harris.  He worked at Allied Chemicals for many years.

He is survived by a son, Thomas D. Grissom and his wife, Judy of Sanford; a son-in-law, Michael Harris; a sister, Burnice Price of Carthage; two grandchildren, Amy Riggs and her husband, Greg of Cove City, NC, Michael S. Tillman and wife Patricia of Maryland; and three great-grandchildren, Salem and Ariana Tillman-Rodriquez of Maryland and Conner Riggs of Cove City, NC

The funeral service will be held at White Hill Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Roger Thomas and Rev. Brown Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
