Betty Williams Dawkins, 79, of Broadway, died Sat., May 28, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Dawkins was born in Wake County, on May 16, 1937, to the late Hubert Glenn Williams and Lina Stewart Williams.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Hardee and James R. Dawkins; a twin brother, Burney Glenn Williams and a son, Dale Reece Hardee.  In addition to her family, Betty loved the Lord, her church and shopping.

Surviving relatives include her daughter Pat Hardee Ellis and husband Steve of Sanford and a daughter-in-law Nicole Hardee Fields of Sanford.

A graveside service will be held at Broadway Town Cemetery on Wed., June 1, 2016, 11AM with Pastor John Sauls and Pastor Mark Whitfield officiating.  A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Ministries, Wed., June 1, 2016, 1PM and the family will receive friends at the church following this service.
