Bennie Wayne Hart, age 76, of Sanford, NC died Thursday, February 9, 2017 following an automobile accident.

He was born in Lee County on October 14, 1940 to the late James Winferd Hart and Ella Mace Garner Hart.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Alice Smith. Bennie was an active member of Juniper Springs Baptist Church.  He loved trucks and antiques and was the owner of Father & Daughter Antiques in the Sanford area and was an employee of Roadside Antiques in Monroe and Loganville, Georgia.  He worked nine years for Pentair and also worked part-time for The Sanford Herald.

He is survived by his wife Viola Poindexter Hart; three daughters Melinda Hart Marsh and husband Rodney of Sanford, Penny Hart Moureau and husband Clint of Sanford, Tonya Hart Brewer and husband John of Greenville, NC; seven grandchildren Phillip Marsh and wife Amy, Spencer Berube, Corey Brewer, Hunter Pardue, Chase Moureau, Christian Moureau, Lindsey Moureau and one great-grandson Parker Lucas Marsh.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow on Thursday, February 16th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. John Hackney officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
