Mr. Benjamin Walker “Benjy” Spivey, age 57, of Sanford, N.C. died Friday, May 12, 2017, at Central Carolina Hospital.

Mr. Spivey was born on July 5, 1959, in Lee County, N.C., to the late Jimmy Spivey and Evelyn Cox Spivey.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky O’Brient Spivey.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Lynn Knight Spivey; a son, Craig Walker Spivey and wife Kayla of Sanford; a sister, Darlene Hudson and husband Buddy of Sanford and by a grandchild, Elle Spivey.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
