Barbara Ann Blankenship Marks, age 74, of Cameron, NC, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Sutton, WV on June 11, 1943 to the late Harvey Blankenship and Beatrice Sutton Blankenship.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Betty Taylor and Ruby Zimmerman and her six brothers, Kenneth, Sonny, Robert, Danny, Charlie and Baby Roy Blankenship.  Barbara worked as a dietician for many years at St. Joseph Hospital. 

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dewitt Thomas Marks of the home; one son, Danny Marks and his wife, Angel of Cameron; one daughter, Edna George and her husband, Mitch of Cameron; one brother, Nick Blankenship and his wife, Sue of Cameron; four sisters, Wilma Taylor of Cameron, Laurie Delvecchio, Joy Blankenship and Wanda Blankenship all of Ohio; one sister in law, Aggie Blankenship also of Ohio; four grandchildren, Randy, Jessica, Cameron and Reilly Marks and two great children, Brooklyn and Bryce Marks.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Raymond Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
