Allen Lester Warren, age 78, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC following a brief illness.

He was born in Queens, NY on November 23, 1938 to the late Frank Warren and Madeline Francois Warren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Robert J. Warren and Donald Link.  Mr. Warren worked as an avionics technician for Pan Am, Eastern and American Airlines. 

He is survived by his wife Margaretta Louise Warren; daughter Bonnie Jean Neal of Coral Springs, FL, son Steven Warren and wife Kerry of Warner Robins, GA; daughter Lori Ann Stephenson of Sanford, NC, and daughter Denise Warren of Woodstock, GA; brother Kenneth Link of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and grandchildren Jenna Michele Neal, Robert Dwayne Stephenson, Jr., Hannah Leigh Warren and Caleb James Warren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with a memorial service following in the chapel of the funeral home at 5:00 PM with Pastor Brad Marone and Pastor Craig Dodson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Solid Rock Community Church, 989 White Hill Road, Sanford, NC 27332.
