Mrs. Ruby Hall Rollins, 96, of Sanford, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center.
Mrs. Rollins was born June 30, 1917, in Moore Co., to her late parents C. G. Hall and Eunice Hudson Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lewis Rollins; and two brothers Fred and Evin Hall. She was a member of East Sanford Baptist Church for over sixty years. Mrs. Rollins taught children Sunday School for 54 years which was the joy of her life. She was a talented seamstress who worked at Avent and Thomas for many years until the age of 91.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Cathy Rollins Davis and husband Dr. Jerry Davis of Greensboro; two special nieces Barbara Sprouse of Sanford and Carolyn Kelly of Raleigh; a nephew Richard Rollins; a cherished goddaughter, Glenda Cameron; a loving church family and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 10th, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at East Sanford Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Gibson and Rev. Robert Yandle presiding. Burial will follow at Shallow Well Cemetery.
